Completed the 8 week low impact course!

Where did that time go? Only missed 1 week as we were on holiday. The first week we did a timed power walk (20 mins 10 secs). Last night we did it again …… 18 mins 43 secs!! WOO HOO. Really pleased with myself as clearly my fitness has improved.

Trying to psych myself up to go swimming today, amazingly the mind is willing but have a sore throat and a head full of snot (yum). I’ll take Martha Dog down the beach first and then decide.

I WILL BE THIN!!

Centreparcs done & back to reality :-(

Well we had the most fantastic week at Cps.  All i can say is that I’m so glad I started on this fitness campaign otherwise I would have mist definitely been sat on the sidelines watching everyone else have fun in the pool.  Instead, this time, I was there with them, cycling everywhere and generally just having fun.

We even booked our personal trainer for this morning rather than skipping a week.  I felt really sluggish and it was incredibly hard work this week… BUT I DID IT.

So back to watching what I eat and continuing with the fitness regime, I’m going to go swimming again this week too.

I WILL BE THIN!!

cross training

So last night was low impact training & today I dusted off my swimsuit & hit the pool for the 1st time in almost 10 years.  After 2 lengths I thought I might just die, 4 thought I’d have to stop……………. and then I got into my stride and swam for 30 minutes.  I was in the slow lane and being overtaken by 70 year olds (I am not kidding) but I did it and I’m proud of myself.

Happy days…. I WILL BE THIN

I’ve neglected you!

So sorry, my excuse is that i’ve been too busy exercising!!! I have been abducted by aliens.  So Tuesday night its low impact training (outside brrr) Friday mornings personal training and Sunday mornings cycling.  All of this on top of daily dog walks.  At least it is all good reasons.  My weight is OK.  I’m not resorting to the sweetie tin but my month of abstinence is well and truly over.  Hurrah….. what was interesting though is that I can really feel the effects of alcohol again and don’t feel the need to have 2 large glasses of wine, 1 is plenty.  I’ve also had a weekend away and surprised myself at how little i wanted to eat - no deserts even though it was my birthday.

Suffice to say, the exercise is being to work and there is a little less of me now.  Hubbie remarked that i was looking “trimmer” hurrah!!!

However, everyday, something else hurts, ankles, calfs, thighs…. it probably easier to say what doesn’t ha ha ha.

Always remember this is a marathon, not a sprint.

I WILL BE THIN!!
